1. Visual Arts Center of Richmond – 1812 West Main Street, Richmond, VA 23220
   Not too far from great Richmond homes for sale, you'll find Visual Arts Center of Richmond. Founded in 1963, it's dedicated to helping adults and kids alike explore their creativity. About 40,000 people every year visit its array of 1,000 visual and creative arts classes. With more than 100 volunteer art instructors, it has taught on everything from clay to wood to fiber.

  Add some cultural flair to your Halloween celebration near Glen Allen homes for sale at the Dia de Los Muertos Festival. Dia de Los Muertos translates to "Day of the Dead," is observed during the three days between October 31 and November 2. Despite the somber name, Dia de Los Muertos is a colorful and joyous remembrance of loved ones who have passed. The family-friendly festival includes live music and dancing, sweet treats, and art activities. Guests are invited to wear their Halloween costumes. Dia de Los Muertos Festival takes place on Sunday, October 27 from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. and admission is free.

Pickleball has been exploding in popularity across the U.S., and the Richmond area is no exception. Our REALTORS® highlight five places to play pickleball in our area.

Why Pickleball?

Pickleball is like a combination of tennis, badminton, and ping pong. The game combines elements of each, making it fun, fast-paced and easy to pick up for beginners. Some people describe it as giant ping pong, except you're standing on the table. However you look at it, it's a lot of fun!

One element making made pickleball popular is, even though it packs a lot of action into a quick game, it's not too physically demanding. It's an excellent game for all ages. This year's West End Pickleball Classic, held by the Pickleball Club of Chesterfield County, included more than 200 participants, with an age range from 10 to 83.
